Picked this up for my daughter to back up her laptop and add some extra storage for her wedding planning. Works great and without issue. Already filling with photos.

These External Drives Are Great for Storage and replay on PC's and TV's. However... once in a while you get one that is defective. Just return it and get another one or just a refund.

I was surprised by the size of this portable drive, it is much smaller than my previous WD My Passport. I use it for Time Machine backups on my macbook pro, so I can't attest to its speed of writing/reading, since I don't care much. I did notice that the first backup (500GB) took a while, but other than that it's silent and works well in the background. I can travel with it due to how flat it is, so that's another plus. Setting it up was easy. I plugged it on, opened Time Machine and selected the drive. Time machine required to format it in order to use it, but that didn't take long and in no time it was backing up.

I needed portable backup with lots of memory and this is perfect. It holds everything I needed to back up with room to spare, it's easily portable and fits nicely in even a smaller handbag.

This is the first external hard drive I've purchased and its been perfect. Super easy to set up and the transfer process has been smooth. A great price point and the blue is a great color!

Simple and easy to use. Good storage space, good price. Perfectly happy with it. Also, I like to support Best Buy because I appreciate being able to see product that I'm buying before paying for it. Also, Best Buy backs up their products so I support them as much as possible.

A solid drive! I have run large daily back-ups to this drive for almost a year with no errors or other configuration issues. Very small and portable. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Good for an external backup of my desktop files. Has a lot of options and feature that were initially overwhelming for a non-IT expert. Wish it had better, more simple instructions on how to set up routine automatic backups. But, after watching some YouTube videos its was fairly easy to figure out; and once initially done it is fairly straightforward after that.

really portable and easy plug and play. Red color stands out and feels good in hand or just put next to your PC. WD quality should last a long time, and 2TB space holds quite a bit

I bought this for my PS4 to use as external storage since my internal hard drive was full. Install was super easy and I've had zero issues playing games stored on the device. Excellent price too.

could not be easier. Small compact plug and play. On sale at a great price. Small enough to fit in your pocket. Would buy again. Would make a great gift for someone who needs a backup.

It works great once you set it up you can even schedule regular back ups and it’s nice to carry around. The software was a little weird to install and figure out at first but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing. I just wish it was compatible for both Windows and MacOS

This 2TB drive is literally tiny and light weight. It is a simple plug and play unit and dragging files onto it is quick and easy. Worth spending the few extra bucks for a lifetime of security.
