Stopped working already, well failed just about a month after purchase. I/O error and drive not initialized all of a sudden, nor will it. Of course it was college students weeks of work locked up on there.

was unable to connect the unit online it would update. Failed after many attempts including with Western Digital so ended up throwing the MY Passport External Drive into the garbage.

It has been 2 weeks and for my disappointment, it just stopped working. I was taking a good care of this but, for my disgrace.. is has stop working... very disappointed.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and it is no longer working. Do not buy it since it’s trash. I should have researched online and there are a lot of issues with WD passport which you can look up on YouTube. Never buying WD products again!!!!!

Bad experience. Stopped working and had hardware issues within a few months of use. Very disappointed. There was no way to do a hard reset either. Rotten.

Tried to backup my iMac ... The WD My Passport started making clicking sounds after less than 2 hours of attempting to back up photos ... What a WASTE & DISAPPOINTMENT ... DO NOT BUY!!

Bought a brand new unit and it was defective right out of the box. First thing I did after I opened the item was plugged it straight into my PS4, and it said it was unable to format the device because there was corrupted data on it. How?

Missing an instillation guide and is no longer supported by Western Digital. Unable to activate — what a waste of money! Too bad I waited so long to install it. Lost my money on something that won’t work.

During product registration, I received a notice that Western Digital will no long offer support.

Bought this for additional storage and did not need it until today. It doesn't work, and I missed the return window. Thought I could rely on WD products...

Have no idea if component works. Geek Squad made me purchase an external drive and then informed were not capable of repairing laptop...which was purchased at BB. Recommend I go somewhere else. Not a problem!!!

Watch doesn’t charge. The item is defective please review

The first one didn't work so I exchanged it. the 2nd didn't work either. Neither had any instructions. I asked a guy to come out and finally was able to get it to operate but he charged ~$100. What a bummer!

no instructions...tries to call my local store and only got over seas people.

Got this for my sons computer. It started out great then it crashed, wont do anything. We did get it back up and running but everything was erased . Going to return it and try another brand.

Thought I could back up my data but after 10 months it's clicking and hanging up. Won't be long until it completely quits! Western Digital used to be a good name but those days are over.

Mine broke because of keep moving around, and as always is not under warranty when this happens. Lost a lot of file and picture.

I would give it negative stars if possible. It's so bad that I'll never buy another Western Digital product ever again.

Despite being 2tb this device does not work with my XP desktop. It is not usable.

It wants to DELETE the items on my computer BEFORE it will save my documents and photos. NO THANKS!
