I purchased this external hard drive for my 2017 ASUS laptop. After downloading several games from Steam onto the hard drive, I safely removed it and kept it on my table for safekeeping. One evening, I inserted it back into my laptop to play the games only to find they all had been deleted. I was forced to reinstall several games. Two weeks later, I again plugged the hard drive into my laptop only to find that it was inaccessible and required reformatting, ergo I lost all the save data for my games. After hours of trying various command prompts, third-party software, and other solutions the hard drive was not acknowledged by my PC. Trying to use this hard drive has been inexplicably frustrating due to the fact that I lost several gigabytes of game data. Fortunately it was only video game data and not something more significant. I will not be buying a WD product again.

No where does it say the included software only supports 64bit windows...
