Good storage device. Holds lots of back ups. This device is also very easy to use.

This 2TB WD is smaller than the WD 1 TB that I purchased a year ago, I purchased to go with a non-functioning hard drive so Geek Squad repair would use to put the recovered data on it. Had previously wondered how I could tell apart 1TB to 2TB until I saw them both together.

Drive works like a charm. Bought this one to assure I had plenty of storage space. Only reason for the 4-star review is because the backup software on the drive doesn't work due to license expired and I had to use one off the Internet.

It works great! I bought a new computer and this makes moving files from the old one to the new one very easy! And, getting on sale was a bonus!

Excellent product. No crashes I use it to store me EA account and games. It frees up so much space and holds all my base games and expansion games for the Sims.

Every couple of years, I purchase another external hard drive to be certain that my documents are safely stored. The storage space continues to inflate and prices continue to fall. This year, I scrutinized over the Passport and Elements. There are no discernible difference. Purchase the one with the better price.

Easy to use hooks up easy and the price is affordable

This is a good little hard drive. Easily transports and has lots of space. My only issue is that it was very cumbersome to set up on my mac. I had to go through and fix a bunch of settings and download another program in order to use this. I don't know why but it took 25 minutes to figure it all out. It works now but wow the hoops to jump through. What happened to plug and play?

Good device for additional storage needs. Compact size

Simply put, the WD - My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive (the red one) is a life saver. It's fast for video editing and looks great on the desk, on the go, or anywhere you might need an external hard drive.

This is much easier to use than I thought although I spent a lot on time on You Tube looking for some guidance that the sales clerk didn't or couldn't provide. Copying my files went lightening fast and copying them into my new laptop was just as easy and fast. I was shocked at how easy it was.

I purchased this for my not so tech savvy fiancee. She takes a lot of pics with her phone plus she's in school for fashion. She uses Google drive for both and 15GB just isn't enough for her photos alone. She uses this to transfer her school files from Google Drive and to keep her internal hard drive free on her laptop.

It does the job and is easy to for anyone to use, regardless of your familiarity with technology.
