I bought this for my daughter about a year ago. And two months later, her hard drive crashed. Luckily, she backed everything up. Since the back up, the hard drive has been dropped a few times and it still works. I was surprised that the hard drive still works. Will purchase again if needed.

This is a very simple, easy to use external HD. I used it for a backup of everything on an old laptop before I got rid of it. Just plug in and go. Simple. Shows up as another drive automatically. USB 3 is quite a bit faster. I like the square shape. Easier to pick up than one with rounded corners.

I bought this before I upgraded to my new Hopper 3 from Dish Network. Wanted to get some shows off of my old VIP 712 & 722. Although you are supposed to need a external HDD with it's own power source; this worked flawlessly retrieving and uploading my content to my new receiver. Def recommend.

I purchased this to keep a copy of my photos on. Western Digital always makes great products and this is no exception. It provides fast write speeds from my iMac. The color makes it easy to find and I always know the blue one has my photos on it. I highly recommend this drive.

Got this on sale to use as extended storage for my xbox one. Not much to say plugged it in formatted and it worked easy as pie to store my games on it. It's WD you can trust it and it works. Speed is not 7200 RPM but for the xbox I don't notice any sluggishness.

Had a Seagate portable that I had used for many years as backup. It died and went to recycle yard. Needed a replacement, this one was on sale and had decent enough reviews. So far, backups have performed flawlessly. Would consider another one for day to day storage as well.
