    Seagate is comparable to western digital in speed. Don’t see a significant difference. This one has a nice metal casing.

    These are good external HDs. I bought one (2TB) that didn't say "Mac" on the box and was unable to format the drive which is odd because I haven't seen that problem before. I exchanged it for one with the Mac label and it works fine.

    I bought this to store all my GoPro videos and digital photos. Transfer rate is fair between 24 and 30 MB/s per Windows Explorer while transferring actual MP4 files. Sleek design. Great product.
