Works, But Has Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had little trouble transferring anything to and from this drive, but have had headache after headache simply trying to safely remove it. I'm about to just pull the plug because there are problems with it not being released by my Windows laptop for safe removal.

Everything is gone

I never should have done that. Everything is gone. I have no idea what all is gone, but it clicks and doesn't read no matter what I do

Defective Out of the Box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this device at Best Buy, brought it home, hooked it up, downloaded the instruction manual, but could not get past page 7. Called the WD Support folks to take advantage of their 30 day setup assistance offer. I was pleasantly surprised it only took a few seconds to reach a live person without being put on HOLD. Talked to a guy who barely spoke English. After several attempts to translate, he told me it was defective and return it for a refund.
