I got this form my sons Xbox one 500gb u can add 2TB of storage just by plugging it in to the USB port on the side that adds a lot more storage

This component is a necessary item for all systems especially portable devices. The cost is justified by the enclosed software alone for effective data backup. Only con might be due to small size and delicate handling requirement.

I purchase this to use with my microsoft xbox one s. It compliments it very well. I always went with western digital and it hasnt failed me.

It was very easy to setup and format for my PS4 pro haven't had any issues so far perfect for adding a little more storage space for consoles

I needed assurance that my digital family pictures would be kept safe. It was super easy to move copy my pictures from my laptop to the external hard drive. Definitely a great purchase for piece of mind for my cherished memories.

Forget then hassle of the security inspection at the airport. There is no need to look after any electronics in your carry on. Great way to transport your memory, whatever use you would like to have of it. Share family pics, watch movies, make presentations for work or carry on lectures to be given. This is a great way not to transport extra hardware. Just plug it into any PC and you are ready to go. More space than a jump drive and better protected compared to one of them. The colors add an easy way to rapidly identify what is in storage.

The fisrt thing that comes to my mind is to find a reliable storage so my data can be placed in a secure and fast enough data transfer external storage, and that is what is the WD is about. So basically I use this unit as a backup drive and does the job as it was expected, no complains at all, decent data transfer, and very easy to use, copy paste basically, Western Digital offers a SW that works well with this drive called WD Discoveryand it will allows you to download and keep up to date other WD Apps. But for me the most important part is to know that the data is secure, to know that my videos and photos are safe which is the reason why I bought this external storage. The construction also feels and look good.

Perfect easy to use and convenient to store all extra pictures so you are not storing them all on computer. Also a peace of mind as a back up.

I like the size and speed of this hard drive but I did not like the fact that the USB-C cable is not included. I believe if I buy external one, it might work but the input cable to hard drive is very unique. it wont be USB-C to USB-C in this one.

Need to have something to store all my photos and file. More than enough space

I had four of the older WD external hard drives that were bulky. I made the decision to consolidate them and go to a smaller hard drives. I've had it for a month and it seems to be working well. I also like that it takes up less room and is easier to transport.

Works great. Very simple to set up and use. This item replaces a Seagate that died. The Seagate had an external power supply but the My Passport is powered by the USB. This is much more convenient. Plugged it in and off we go.

There is a lot of space inside of this thing. It is compact in my opinion as well. I just transferred all my old files onto my new one.

Great extended storage option for ps4/ps4 pro. Plug into usb 3.0 port in back of machine, allow ps4 to reformat, then you are good to go.

No problem so far. I am able to make backups and not to worry for crpytolockers

This hard drive is used to store video and photos on for work. It reads fast and is portable to take to every computer. Love it!

I purchased this for use with my Xbox. You simply plug it in and it takes a few seconds to automatically format. If using for game storage, be sure you adjust your Xbox settings to send downloads to external. For existing games on your internal HD, simply copy them over. Note that once formatted for gaming, you cannot use for music, movies, or other storage without reformatting. This drive is quiet and does not require an external wall plug. I actually own 2 of them and got this one at a great price.
