This device has plenty of space, is portable, really fast and supports the latest USB standard.

This is my fourth WD drive which was replacing my six year old original drive. Not that it failed I just needed some more space. My other two are all still working at their assigned tasks and I couldn't be happier. They suit my purposes precisely and I've never had so much as a hiccup out of any of them. WD is, in my experience, the best drives out there. I don't even consider when looking for a new one.

My wife needed a new travel hdd for her film stuff (Adobe Premiere), and this seemed like a good purchase. Note: it is windows formatted but reformatting with Disk Utility on a mac was easy. It is nice and quick and she's able to playback high bitrate video files without stutter from lack of usb throughput. She also appreciates the added bonus that this hdd is bus-powered and thus you dont need to lug around another power supply.

Bought this so Im not using lots of Flash Drives. Been great, easy to use, and lots of space.

This is my second external hard drive and I bought it at a great price. I backup my laptop computer to this and it was a good thing as, by coincidence, a few months after I bought the drive my laptop crashed. Thank goodness I had just about everything backed up. It took awhile to reinstall programs but my music, pictures, documents, etc, were there to copy back to my new hard drive.

Western Digital hard drives are my typical go to drives for large file transfers. It's converts easily to a universal format and handles large video transfers like a pro.

The setup was a little confusing but I figured it out pretty quick. I also downloaded the instruction manual on the internet and that really helped. It's a lot smaller than I pictured it to be but is seems very solid. I have had no experience working with external drives and I'm glad I went with this one.

I've got the original PS4 from launch and memory is very limited for the newer games with bigger need of space. This external hdd comes in handy and very easy to install. So far, so good.

Works as expected. USB 3.0 is fast as long as you plug it into a USB 3.0 port on the computer.
