Although it gets slightly warmer than a Seagate HDD, it's performance is perfect for me. If your wondering how to use it on the Xbox One, simply make sure that the storage system is deleted and left completely UNALLOCATED (you can delete the filesystem with Windows) and connect to the Xbox One, which will now detect it.

I've purchased about a dozen hard drives in the last couple of years. Longevity is yet to be seen, but the performance is on par with what I've come to expect. It has an LED activity light unlike it's plug in big brother. I would definitely recommend it, plus comes with a better warranty than the elements drives.

This WD 2TB hard drive is the third drive that I have purchased in the last 9 months I purchased a the metal edition, black and now the blue. These little hard drives are Great for backing up and or transporting larger amounts of data. And the USB 3.0 is a Plus for Faster Transfers if your PC is USB 3.0 compatable.

Stable and large space for data storage, quickly reading out and writing inside based on USB 3.0. Pretty small and light for carrying.

I actually use this as a backup of everything I store (pictures, music, documents, etc.) and I typically stick only with Western Digital. This unit is great as it also allows me to set a locking password and keep the average person from accessing my data. Love this unit and am hoping to replace it one day with a 3T.

'my passport' is the easiest way I have found to backup my laptop with the built in time machine. just plug it in to the USB and walk away. Everything is automatic. when its finished, just unplug and put it away until the next time. Easy and reliable.

Good extra space for on the go storage. Doesn't seem to be compatible with smart tv operating systems. So don't plan on putting movies on it to watch them from your tv.

I needed this for my ps4. It works pretty good. The files load up pretty good. I'm happy with this purchase.

I have used Western Digital hard drives and external hard drives for many years now. I own a few of these WD TB2 hard drives, and have also used other brands over the years. But at the end of the day I'd rather spend my money on WD products. There's never an issue, very reliable and easy to use.

I bought two of these (1 and 2 TB drives), had previous experience with WD drives (a my book, and two passport drives) and loved them. A 2TB drive is a little too thick to fit the drive plus cable into the insignia case I bought to protect it, but it works (the 1 TB is thin and no need to worry)

The WD USB drive is working great. There were a few issues setting up the drive to use on a MAC. It required a phone call to WD, due to not being able to find technical articles that matched the issue I was having. WD Tech Support quickly resolved the issue and the drive is working as expected.

The hard drive works fine with a Mac, and even includes software that adds some capabilities and usefulness. I typically just configure Time Machine to back up directly to the device when connected, but the included software works with Mac as well, and offers additional capability if needed.

My sole purpose for buying this external harddrive was due to my storage issues I was having with my PS4 it was easy to setup you just have to convert it first to FAT and not FAT32 or you will only be able to use 2 out of the 4 TB if you go with fat32 so make sure it's just FAT when coverting for PS4.

I like the compact size of the drive because it is easy to carry around. i also like the fact that the copying speed was fast

This device is needed to store content from your console. It was an easy set up and it’s a Best Buy!!

I used this to mail large files to a video editor. It’s compact, and the files moved from long term storage quickly.

Great way to store pics, videos and documents.. I love it because it frees up space on my computer!!
