I believe that the first time I plugged this in to a USB port, it was USB 2. That caused all of my USB devices to behave poorly. I plugged it into USB 3 and it appears to work correctly.

This back-up drive is set up to download data stored in One Drive for Windows 11. I could not get it to back-up the data on my C: drive. I called Western Digital and the App they recommended did not work. I switch to a Seagate External Drive, which works perfectly.

I have been using WD external hard drives for well over ten years without so much as a hiccup. The 2 TB My Passport SSD is small, lightweight, and very stable--perfect for a traveling photographer such as myself. Transfer speeds are very fast. Perfect and portable!

Don't waste your money! I just started using this SSD 3 days ago and within 24 hours I had problems with it! I bought two different SSD on 12/24 when I purchased a gaming monitor as well. I realized that Best Buy doesn't even offer returns for 30 days. It says no longer returnable as of 1/14/23! Never again...

I purchased this drive to use as a backup for my MacBook Pro and it would not work. I called Western Digital's support line and received prompt and outstanding service. They walked me through several procedures to check the drive and my setup, however they came to the conclusion the drive was bad. Based on the service I received from WD's support line I purchased another drive under the company's umbrella.

Did not work, I bought it for my ps5. I formatted it as you normaly do, said it was formatted. I tried to transfer games on it, it started then gave me an error and made me format it again. I tried this multiple times and eventually returned it.

Unmounted permanently from M1 Mac mini after a few months. I can't read all of the important data. The maker has a warranty exchange program during a few years after purchase, however, the procedure of the program is so complicated. I never buy this maker’s SSD.

This gets so hot you can hardly hold it in your hand. I called the company and they were the least concerned. I would not buy another one.

I bought this drive on Oct 4 2021 and died today Oct 10 after 1 year of really light use, I do not recommend this is really unreliable.

WD has done it again! For 20 years I’ve had various Passport Hard Drives. This the best yet! It slides into a shirt pocket like it’s not even there. Its Solid State Drive is fast (I have 4 generations) and comes with massive Storage options. I got the the 2 TB, transferred files at a surprising rate. The size is the bonus for me, the performance, storage and size is a choice you won’t regret.

Great external storage for a MacBookPro. Plug and play, very light weight. Very fast transfer of data. Highly recommend.

Years ago I bought a WD 1TB SSD drive for personal use. I currently needed storage to backup my images for my photography gigs. Just like my 1TB, this 2TB works just as well! Great storage and fast transfer speeds.
