    I use this for storing my photo library, which I access through Lightroom. Retrieval is fairly quick and very consistent. I have an older WD USB 3 drive that I back this one up with using SyncToy. It's a good arrangement.

    I planned to use this drive as a network-attached device, accessible from multiple computers on the network. It doesn't work for that. I don't know why. It works OK when directly connected to individual computers.

    The drive is very portable but it requires a special usb that it comes with. If I lose or need a longer cable it will be an issue.
