IMO you cant go wrong with the Passport series from WD. I've bought MANY of these and they are always great. The oldest being 5 or so years old and it still runs perfect.

Very easy to set-up - basically just plug it in to your computer. Also, setting up automatic backups with it are a cinch - good product!

I have been using WD external hard drives for years and have always had good luck with them. They perform well and WD support is very good. I added two of these 4 TB drives to my backup sets.

Bought this for my family's Playstation 4 console. It was easy to use. Formatted itself and we were able to move games, music and other data from the Playstation cloud to the hard drive easily.

I've had no luck with this HD. The software you need to use it, WD discovery specifically, is janky and whenever I input my password to unlock the HD the whole application freezes. I haven't been able to successfully unlock my HD in weeks, and luckily there's nothing on it that I need. As to why there's nothing on it that I need...files wouldn't completely upload onto the hard drive before this software issue began happening. I figured it was user error, or the type of files I was trying to upload. Never got to figure out which it was, because now I can't even access the HD to begin with. I'm positive there are better products out there.

I had purchased a My Passport a few years ago, and ended up needing another portable back up hard drive. I am going to use it to back up videos.

Lightweight and portable. Did not come with any instructions. Called support and was walked through the set-up. Had to redo the back-up, stalled and crashed on first attempt. A little slower than I expected.
