I purchased the 5TB passport first and did an in store curbside pickup. I then brought it home and it was defective. I called the store and they did not have anymore 5TB but they did have the 4TB. I returned to the store to replace the 5TB with the 4TB. My refund was just over $1.00. SERIOUSLY???? The 5TB apparently was on sale and the 4TB was not. I made multiple trips, ended up with a lesser product and only got a $1 and change reimbursement? The 4TB software is not even working well as it is outdated and slows down my PC tremendously. I had to uninstall the software.

A mist have for backing up those thousand of photos on your family's phone's just make a folder with there name then a sub folder with the date and dump a copy or the whole library to save them fro latter or free up space

I bought as back-up memory for a PS4. It was easy to set-up & use. No Complaints.

Seems to be the right tool for backing up my desktop and remote memory. I have not done the initial back up yet, as it is likely to take a while. Could probably do it as a background task, but would rather not. It would be helpful if the unit came with actual user manual.

Bought this during Covid-19 and my Best Buy store in Tulsa made it easy to do. My wifes computer had been operating different lately and was concerned that it may crash. Wanted to be sure all her data was backed up and ready to load on a new computer if necessary.

This is the second one I have purchased. I use it exclusively for my recording studio files. It does a nice job at quickly backing up and also accessing recording files on the fly.

I initially backed up files from my HP. When I went to use it for my back up for my Mac it had to be erased. It has been giving me some error messages ever since and at times my Mac doesn’t want to recognize it. The device is built well and transfer rate is fast when it is working. I have other devices like this that have worked great. I’m not sure if this is just a fluke.

A great external (portable) hard drive. Plug it in and it is ready to go.

Use this for external backup of the PC. Ran out of space on the 2TB unit and upgraded to this one. Plug it in, copy files to it and done. It has a much faster transfer rate than I expected, so that was a plus.

It does its job. No problems connecting it to the computer. No problems transferring files into it either.

This external hard drive is a good buy. Compact with good memory capacity.

WD has quite a few different hard drives for storage. I prefer using this My Passport range as it has encryption. You can set a long password so that no-one has access to your data or information.

Bought as a gift and the person receiving it said it was a great gift.
