I purchased this to backup many, many CDs. It's big enough to hold them all. I had some of my music on another WD drive, and copying from one drive to the other went very quickly. Very happy with this drive!

Easy and convenient to use, I would recommend it to any video game player or work from home person. It is very easy to set up. It allows the owner to save data on a separate device which means if the primary device has problems, you will not lose any data that you can not afford to lose

Very good storage. Beware apple users, you need to format the drive before using it. Besides that, it is terrific for storing projects. The connecting cable is not common so treat it well or you'll have trouble ordering a new one online.

I recently purchased (4/16/21) the WD My Passport 4TB Ext. USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Red. Plugged it in to my computer. It installed properly. I transferred files to it. This was a smooth, fast transfer. So far, so good.

So far so good. Very happy with the capacity and slight increase in speed. It reads and can write to it. At this point I'm transferring from my Samsung that lost it's ability to write.

Perfect lightweight storage drive. I use this to backup files on my laptop. It is fast, quiet and doesn't take up much space in your backpack.

I am a video editor, so I need a lot of storage and it is extremely helpful that it is in a small space. It is very good at not over heating and I have had one of these for years with a 4TB and still not used up all of the storage! Its great!
