    Needed to provide more than 3TB of files to a client in a timely manner. It was faster to download to this drive and overnight. The files uploaded quickly and it traveled well. The client had the files the next day.

    It's nice to not need a separate power source. It gets its power from the USB connection. We do have another one, and one of our older style external drives (that required a separate power supply) failed, so we got another one of these to replace it. So far this is working as well as our other Passport drive.

    I backup almost a terabyte of pictures from my home computers, as task that took 2 hours using usb sticks at 32GB per/stick. The hard drive only took about 10 minutes to back up all my folders. Very impressed with the speed and it runs off the usb power, no need for extra power cables.

    so important to back up, back up, back up. Love that I can get some colors, makes it easy to grab the right one when backing up since I have multiple back ups
