I am using this to back up my movies and music to. I have it connected to my Netgear x10. Working great.

This drive is small and easy to carry but it is a very nice drive - easy to use and a ton of storage. would recommend it to anyone.

This is my 4th WD external drive. I use them to backup my documents, photos and MP4 videos that I burned from DVD. The drive is very fast when transferring data and so far, not one of my four drives has failed. My oldest drive is at least 5 years.

I've owned a multitude of externals from different companies over the years but Western Digital is the only name I constantly trust. Their products run smoothly, the designs are great and the prices are very responsible. When in doubt trust WD.

This portable hard drive is small, sleek, and powerful. It was easy to set-up and has been working wonderfully. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

This is good external HD and I have had no problems with it. This model is about twice as big as the 2Tb model. It is great for video storage, but if you want something light and portable for backup, storage a 2 TB would save some weight.

It is so light and it holds so much information! It easily loads when you hook up the USB! Great product for the low price!

It was time for an up-date to my external back-up. Western Digital has always been a trusted name for quality and My Passport is no exception. With all the files and photos, I needed a reliable product. Performs as expected and then some.

I needed a large capacity external HD & this one fit the bill. Small and transportable. It works great. I bought it when it was on sale. A great deal!

I bought this to try it out for my ps4 and see of it would let me download my games onto it. It works but you do have to go into your settings and format the external storage or it will show the hard drive is non compatible. I put all of my games on it and my ps4 works so much better now that I'm not low on memory.

I've had this hard drive for about a month now. I know that's a short amount of time for reviewing a hard drive, but there's a reason why I buy Western Digital besides the value. I has this 500GB Western Digital external drive that I have had for a good 10 years, and that thing has been dropped several times, and it is still going... Anyhow, I got this one to use with my PS4 Pro, and it was quick and easy to set up. So if you are looking for a compatible drive for your PS4, you can definitely go with this one.

Bought this hard drive to store the videos from my surveillance cameras and it does the job with out complaint. Plenty of storage room and very fast when I want to review a cameras video. Priced right and got a $20.00 Best buy card to.

This drive is fast and i purchased it over the other drives because of the encryption software. In my experience, the Western Digital is more reliable than the seagate products.

I purchased the My Passport 4gb for backing up my computer. The drive has a nice transfer speed and 4gb offers an impressive amount of storage. The drive feels solid and has a nice form factor. So far I am pleased with performance.

Nice to have a decent priced drive at a reasonable price. Easy to take with you and is pretty quite, and most importantly, reliable.

Very easy to use! Just plug in to your computer's USB Port; it's a self-starter. Your computer recognizes its presence immediately. Please read the Readme.txt and User Manual PDF files on the drive which can be found by clicking on the drive's icon in File Explorer if you're using Windows. You will need to run WD Discovery.exe to get additional WD software and help configure your WD Passport drive to fit your needs/preferences. There are instructions for Mac users in said text file. ABOVE ALL ELSE: DO NOT CONNECT YOUR DRIVE TO A POWERED USB HUB! Your computer cannot power off the hub and, consequently, your Passport drive. If you attempt to disconnect your drive from the hub by disconnecting the drive's USB cable, you run the risk of pulling it just when the drive's light starts flashing again. This can happen even if you use Windows "Safely Remove..." app/feature or if you remove power from the hub by disconnecting its power cord.. It could possibly corrupt the data on your drive and cause your computer to not recognize your WD Passport the next time you start your computer and the drive is connected. This happened to me a couple of days after I had installed my drive, and it gave me quite a scare! Fortunately, I was able to get my computer to recognize the drive and no data was lost. Because of my experience with almost losing my data on the drive, and the possibility that the drive could have been damaged, I heartily recommend to all that you read your device's supporting documentation before installing the unit. Follow those guidelines and your toy will serve you well for a long tiime! Yes, I know: Physician, heal thyself...

I needed a way to backup may photos from my Lightroom library. It works great. Its made very well and It is quick, small and self powered. I was so happy with it, I bought an addional one to back up my entire computer.
