I easily reformatted this drive for Mac and use it to back up all photos from other drives and current projects. Like previous WD usb3 drives it is backward compatible and very fast and reliable. Capacity is great. Only reason to give 4 stars instead of 5 is that advertised colors were not available, only black, even on online order. I prefer being able to color-code drives for functionality and quick retrieval.

I've used the 1TB and 3TB versions before for my Xbox One and Rasberry Pi but needed more storage for my PS4. Have never had issues with lost data or a failure yet with 3 models getting moderate to serious use

Needed more space on the PS4. I could have gone for a bigger internal HD, but this was cheaper and had more storage. Easy plug in. Had to find direction online on how to get the PS4 to recognize it, but it was easy.

I'd highly recommend this external drive to anyone needing more space. Plugged it in and drive was immediately recognized. Reformatted easily to use on a Mac. Have had no problems using it. Would buy another without hesitation.

Easy to attach to my computer. Quick loading of files and ease of loading and deleting files' Works as if the hard drive was in my computer and not attached by UBS. Gets rid of dependence and constant messages from the "Cloud".

Just received this hard drive, great price for 4 TB. I bought it to store pictures, I was able to create a folder and just copy the pictures to the hard drive. No set up required. Lightweight and portable. USB plug to the laptop.

This works great with PS4 and Xbox one. It is so seem less that you will forget you playing games from it and not your console. If you don’t want to keep deleting games this is the perfect option

This works great with my PS4 Pro and it was easy install. Increased my capacity for games by a huge amount as well as increasing the speed versus the built in drive by a bit. All you have to do it plug in the drive and have the playstation format the drive and you are good to go. Now I have 5TB of game space and can take my games anywhere on the go just by simply unplugging my drive.

Great hard drive for the ps4. Fast reliable and easy to use. Picked up red dead redemption and space is a necessity. If you have a growing library of games investing in an external hard drive is a must.

4TB was no longer enough to back what I needed up and USB2 wasn't fast enough to stream my music collection. This fixed both problems and now I'm able to pop it in my pocket when I go someplace. Great buy

I bought this to use for backups, installed with no problems and works great I have a 1Tb that I bought a while back, it is just not large enough to hold all my files, but the 4Tb is awesome!
