The passport had plenty of storage for my needs and surpassed them in the long run. Great price for what you get.

I had been waiting for 4 TB external disks to come down to this price so I jumped when I saw it. I was able to get all my stuff from my previous two external drives all onto one disk (with a nice transfer rate to boot, 100 MB/s, which is great for a spinning 5400 RPM disk over USB 3.0). My one and only little gripe is that it does take a while for it to spin up. Though, when you feel how heavy this disk is and can tell how dense things are inside there, you can understand why. Definitely recommended.

The drive itself is compact and a good drive. The colors are nice and bright. The software is faulty. When the WD software is installed on my computer the floppy drive spins continually. When the software is removed the floppy drive stops spinning. Someone else said that their card reader is continually accessing when the software is installed. The older software does not do this. But the older software does not recognize the newer drive. I contacted WD and they don't know. So I use the drive without the WD software. The latest software on the WD web site does the same thing. The software is the reason I gave it a 3 star, otherwise I would give it a 5 star.

Works as expected and is easy to set up. Priced a little high to be honest.

As of February 2017, this is a top performing drive. Its flat faces make it easy to stand in whatever orientation that you want, the activity light is located on the back where the plug is and is easily seen from a distance (as when used with a Blu-ray Player as a mp4 drive). It works flawlessly with the Samsung UBD-KM85c Blu-ray player and Windows 10. Transfer rates vary from 50 to 200mbps depending on what drive you are transferring from or to. Construction is plastic, making it tough and light weight.

Large storage device that is easy to use! Hooked it up and was off and going. Works great with my PS4.

It gets the job done. Bought it for my PS4. Hooked right up, connected quickly and we’ve been friends since. I notice just a little bit of lag in loading the games or between loading screens, but it’s minimal

More storage for my Xbox One X. Works great. Will need more space soon. Time to get another.

Price was around $110 for 4TB of reliable WD storage. Drive performs great under USB 2.0 and 3.0. Can't go wrong with this.
