I have two tower type hard drives, one at 2 TB and the other at 1TB capacity. They are 3 times the size and weight. This 4TB model can be carried around in my laptop backpack and provides security through encryption and personal password.

After my primary computer crashed, I lost a year-and-a-half of email. I bought this portable 4 terabyte drive to backup my important data. When you lose your data is a very hard lesson hence the name.

I purchased this to back up large files. Large files copy quickly with this drive. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. The price was pretty good for an in store purchase. This drive comes in multiple colors but not all colors are carried in the store.

I bought this to use as a back-up drive for my 3TB WD Cloud drive and it works great. With its USB 3.0 connectivity - copying large files is a snap. And this is a lot easier to carry than a heavier cloud drive. Worth a look.

My computer was totally full, so I grabbed this hard drive so that it wouldn't get confused with the OTHER hard drives that we have in our house, and I moved 200 gbs of photos and videos from my computer. So far it is working amazing!

I bought this drive to do image backups for my computers. It's surprisingly fast and does the job. I had a smaller drive that only had 750 GB of space, but this new drive has 4 TB. There is more than enough room to save all my data. There is also software installed on the drive from the manufacture, to do backups, however I don’t really have any use for it. I would recommend this product to my friends.

Recently purchased a Sony x900e along with an Xbox One X. If you're looking to take full advantage of HDR gaming then getting additional storage is a must. WD's 4TB Passport was easy to install & format. I haven't had any issues loading games.

I purchased this 4TB Passport after my other one died. It works great and easy to transfer information on to. Sometimes it makes a hum noise but that does not harm anything. It is worth every penny that I spent on it.

I needed this drive for my college film work. I needed something that I knew would save my information and allow me to get everything that I needed from this drive. This has a lot of space for what I am doing and I like that.

Lots of space for back-up. Fairly easy to set-up and use. Don't really have anything to compare it to.

I've been really wanting/needing an external hard drive for sometime now to clear up space on my laptop and when Best Buy had a deal on this one I snagged it up and love it. It's honestly more space than I'll ever need but it's great nonetheless.

Like the small size and lots of memory. Loaded fast. Primarily used as a backup, so not much on/off.

This drive comes with Password Protection which was a main reason I purchased this drive. Also I like the idea that this drive has ample 4 TB of storage. This drive download fast and I have been enjoying using this drive ever since I got it. Thanks!!!
