This is a reliable external Hard Drive. I bought this for my mom, which has many many hours of videos in seminars she goes to around the world. This is her 4th external HD with the same brand and never had an issue with it.

I use this drive to transfer large amounts of user data when computers are being backed up. It is also great for bringing a digital media collection with you on the go, as it only requires a USB port to work, and no power cord.

I have used this device repeatedly and it has never failed me. Even when it looked like my computer wouldn’t recognize it. Just reload the distaste on the computer and your good to with all your data again. Thoroughly awesome device.

This extra hard drive is great for storing photos. it has 4T of capacity and is easy to pack and take with you on a trip. It is sturdy and I have several of them. High quality, great price!

Works perfectly well with my MacBook Air. With 4TB Capacity, I can carry all my Graphic Files, Music, Plug-ins, Demo Videos anywhere I go and still be able to edit in FCPx while traveling. Just plug it into a USB port and no power cord required.

So far giving me more than enough storage for my Plex server. Only thing I need to do now is to make more efficient use of how I encode my library so I can utilize all this space much better than I am now. Good performance as well.

This is an excellent drive! 4TB of portable storage. Awesome!! Western Digital is the best, I only will buy this brand as I've been burned by Seagate HD failures. Bestbuy is also better priced than Amazon, they are really getting competetive.

Great little drive,,, fast with USB 3.0 with 4TB of storage space.

We bought the 4TB version of this drive and are pleased with its capacity and with how it has worked in the first several weeks that we've owned it. Like some other reviewers, here and on other sites, we've noticed a tendency for the glossy part of this case to really attract fingerprints, but can live with that. One caution is that the drive is thick, and many protective cases won't fit it, or will but with no room for more.
