I needed additional storage for the backup of my files. The small size of this product was perfect as it requires minimal space on my desktop.

This unit packs a lot of storage into a very small package. It was super easy to setup and a great backup or storage system. Highly recommend!

Very straight-forward, easy setup, convenient. A better option than Zip drives for larger files, such as video and photo archiving.

I bought this for my PS4, allowing it's memory to expand far beyond that of even the Pro model. It works as if it was built in, I highly recommend it.

As a photographer I used to carry a 1TB HD all the time to immediately backup photos while on the road. I often found myself deleting old photos to make room for new ones. This 4TB drive alleviates that. My only gripe if you could call it that is it's heavier and bulkier than my old HD. Weight even the slightest amount is important to a photographer like me who carries all the gear whose total weight his or her back can sustain on hikes. But I can't deduct a star for that because it's probaly a limitation of physics. So just be aware there's a bit of capacity-vs-size/weight tradeoff.

I bought this yo be paired with my Ps4 for external extended storage and it is by far perfect. Runs game right off of it and you would never know. Must have.

I bought this to back up my files after hearing the horror stories about Win 10 update issues. FIrsty off they want you to sign up for the cloud, but you only get 500G for a year then they charge you. Had problems getting it to back up the files on my PC. Seems if it couldn't get to a file it stopped working. It wanted access to my Win cloud, which I don't use, so I let it in. It seemed to do better as afr as the back up went, although it didn't back up a bunch of files, as I couldn't tell by looking at the name what they were, I hope it worked for the files I wanted. Another interesting bug. Even though I told it the same files to back up, every time I redid it the number would climb started at 18G then 30G then 53G, I have no clue what it's looking at.

I love this external. It is small but has a ton of storage. If you need it while on the go like me it works perfect in the WD case you can buy. Great product!
