It took a long time to back up my PC but it may be my PC more than this although it is USB 2. I am using to back up computers and then maybe hook up to my router.

So Far So Good

It functions via USB-3 in a standard fashion. I have just two comments at this time (and I'll add more later if anything changes). (1) All power to this drive comes through the USB cable -- it does not have a separate power cable -- so it will be a relatively constant drain on your PC's power. (2) the USB cable is only about 18 inches long (at most); in other words, it is very short. If you have a long reach from a USB port to the place you want to put this drive, this drive may not be for you. I'm seeing a lot of reviews on failures. No issues so far.
