I like the form factor of this drive the yellow color makes it easy to find in a batch of external drives. I also like the fact that power comes over the USB port/cable, so no extra power brick needed. Nice!

The My Passport makes for a great portable external hard drive. It uses USB 3.0, has a good looking case, and doesn't require an external power source. Great to use with a laptop.

Great drive and great speed with usb 3.0. Used to transfer files from old systems to new systems. Works great on older systems with usb2.0 also.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how small this drive is. I have another external drive that isn't labeled as portable and it's much larger. Works great for additional storage on xbox one.

This drive is great for backing up picture data. No worries about running out of space but if I do an additional drive is not expensive at all. Not SSD speeds, more of a data storage workhorse.

These drives are perfect for storing my many video files, and I have not had any issues with them yet. WD drives have performed reliably for my use for many years and I will continue to use this brand.

I find it a problem to get this drive to act like a drive. It wants to act as a USB unit that has to be removed before it will allow the CPU to boot normally. The capacity is good, no problem with that. Physical size is fine. I contacted WD when the unit could not be recognized and that was taken care of quickly. I am about to contact them for the no boot situation.

WD My Passport was recommended to me by a computer engineer. He understands my needs and limited technological abilities. He likes WD and felt that this product would be easy to use. So far he is correct.

I needed alot of memory to store my photos and videos. This was great value for the price. I just hope that it lasts longer than a year. I've had the 2 Tb ones go bad after a year. Luckily WD stands by their product and replaces the bad ones, but it's still an inconvenience and would be a serious pain I didn't have my photos & videos backed up in another place.

it's not the first portable WD drive I've purchased, but I needed more space for personal photos, 4T was what I needed. This drive has a nice compact style. Works flawlessly, as expected.
