Great high capacity back up drive. Nice to have something local than risk everything in cloud. Works great and replaces an older model with less capacity.

This is a good external drive that I used to back up my system for offline storage. I have always had good luck with WD drives - internal and external.

the drive is faster than the drive it was replacing. Works great. Easy to use. Wish it came with a pouch for easier mobility. Still have to be careful with as it is not a solid state drive.

The WD 5TB portable hard drive is excellent as it is very fast and does not overheat. Simply plug into any pc and you can view all of your documents and files you have saved. The hard drive is also very secure as it has built in hardware encryption. I keep all of my files stored on removable hard drives as a back up, in addition to the cloud, just in case anything were to happen such as power loss.

I've always liked WD desktop drives. Reliable and a good price for the storage space. Plan ahead (don't wait until your old disk is full) and you can usually find substantial sales.

This looks great and I need space on my computer - so bought it to fill up with videos and make space on the laptop. Only trouble is -- I haven't started using it yet! My bad. I have it on my list to do -- and hope it will do the trick :)

I have used several WD external drives, but the biggest I had was 2 TB, so I was using multiple ones to backup everything. Now I can store everything on this Large capactiy 5TB drive with room to spare
