Hard drive just stopped working literally two weeks after I transferred EVERY file from my computer onto it. I literally lost everything….

I was told I would need this to help my computers to talk to each other. I have had it for a month and haven't figured out how to use it. The geek squad was useless. So I don't know if this product works. Its just sitting in a drawer gathering dust for now.

I bought 4 of the same ones and two do not work, the 15 days of warranty have passed, so if you buy one you should try it immediately

I just bought it and when I try it use it takes forever to load and when i try to create a folder inside the unit crash definitely the worst external drive I have ever got i will return it and never deal with this brand again

I returned after the first one froze my laptop downloading software at 18% got new one. Same thing happened. Had to contact WD website help which was a giant headache. I might update if this ever works on my laptop. Its a HP windows 10.

Haven't had this item for 3 months even and it started clicking and won't work. I looked online and this is a common occurrence so I am pretty disappointed.

Junk always looses partition information after running Windows defragmentation... Hard drive just shows up as blank have to reformat and start over if Windows defragmentation starts...

This portable hard drive broke. How does that even happen. I saved extremely important data on it and the data is GONE!

Purchased 08/2021. Failed today. Was using it as my primary backup device. Now it cannot be accessed by my PC. Opened a ticket with WD as it is under warranty. We shall see....

I didn't need the drive for a couple weeks and when I hooked it up, I received a Windows cannot open drive notice. it was junk out of the box and too late to return.

Don't buy wd hard drive very slow than freeze you lose your data customer support terrible they keep you busy with try 100 ways final don't work

I discovered that this is not compatible with my 2020 MacBook Air. When I installed it, it was read only. I returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for a portable hard drive that is, a LaCie.

It was not a good product it broke within 5 months bought more then 1 all broke

Pulls too much power from usb port. Can't plug 2 of them into my laptop at same time to transfer files between them.

Horrible to install in iOS. Difficult to register. Nothing easy about getting this out of box to backup

This is not working at all. Noting will download on here to my desktop. I have a Mac and my computer guy is telling me not to use this and use the Samsung hard drive for my Mac instead.

Updgraded to this model because it was supposed to be better. Crashed while on a trip. Handled carefully and still crashed with approx 100,000 photos on it. Stay away from these drives.

It stopped working and know matter what I do I can't get it to be found.
