Light portable hard drive, easy use and storage, good price.

It's just a reliable storage device. I store all of my game captures and videos on it. I haven't had any issues with WD hard drives in the past and this is no different. You can also use it for backups too or whatever you want really.

The WD - My Passport 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is one of my wisest purchases yet. It is easy to setup and use. The external drive enables me to backup enormous quantities of files on my other devices by simply dragging and dropping. Further, it eliminates the need for fistfuls of USB thumb drives. This device is an excellent value!

So far so good after using for about 1+ months. The device was an easy plug in and connect to the windows 7 backup for storing my files (don’t like using File History).

The storage is quite large. It is good to come with safety feature to password protect this drive.

This is my first external hard drive and I really love it. All of my important documents and work from school are safely stored away. The process to get it connected and read the instructions is really simple, and you decide what is stored in it without everything being backed up every time.

After losing data on competitor's External hard drives, I have several Western Digital's for personal and work use. The unit is mac/pc compatible, and easy to partition as I prepare to transition to a newest Imac. Portable sized, with ample space for various files yet reasonably priced. This model Passport is a good value and good product!

The My Passport WD 5 TB External USB 3.0 portable hard drive was purchased from Best Buy with an additional 2-year warranty. I purchase the additional Best Buy warranty for drives for peace of mind. However, this is my second WD 5TB external "My Passport" hard drive. I have found the first one so reliable that I've dedicated it as my transfer drive between my PCs and new Apple Mac Mini. I reformatted the drive from NTFS to exFAT so it is readable by both MAC computers and PCs. This new drive was reformatted into Apple's APFS platform so information on it can be backed up using Apple's Time Machine software. I store my 1 TB Lightroom catalog of 25,000 images on it because it is so reliable. This is a great drive that is reliable.

This was the best priced large (4TB) external storage device. I was already using a 2TB WD Passport for the last 2 years, so now I've got 6TB in total. This is so much easier than having to replace internal drive devices.

This is the highest capacity HDD that can be powered by USB without the need for an AC adapter. It works okay for holding Chia plots. I prefer the Best Buy exclusive Easystore over this because the Easystore tends to be cheaper. However, the Passport can sometimes be had for a nice price.
