Speed is excellent. Small enough to be portable and durable.

Boy is it fun. And l mean fun. It's the most fun ever. It could not be any more fun no matter how hard you try. Its kinda like the Beach Boys song fun fun fun till daddy takes my Best Buy card away.

This 5TB External HD is exactly what I needed. Was looking for a portable HD with plenty of space and this does the job well. Works as a plug and play device with no issues. I use it on both Mac and PC with no problems.

This is the second WD Passport I have bought from Best Buy. The first one I bought at least ten years ago and still works just fine. I started using this one the day it was delivered. I highly recommend this device.

A nice size hard drive in regards to storage and physical size and connected right out the box.

These drives are a good value for archiving data. They are inexpensive enough to securely create permanent backups rather than relying on some outside source with your data.

I bought a new computer, what a mess it was. So many files as the old computer was 11 years old and everything was on it. Why I have no idea LOL. I am 65 years old needed an easy way to save everything, and start a back up program. This is easy to use, easy to transport from home computer to work. I love it!

When you store your own media to not need so many streaming services. You can never have enough storage. These usb powered drives are indispensable. I like having multiple drives to have extra backups in case a drive ever fails. Plus i just hate paying to watch a rotation of bad programming when i can buy it once and own it forever and just store it for likely the rest of my life.

Works fine. No issues installing software and setting up the hardware encryption. Drive is quiet, with great capacity for the buck! I got this to use for periodic archiving of files, so speed is not necessarily a priority but it seems reasonably quick. A plus is you can download the free WD Edition of Acronis TrueImage Backup software which allows you to clone and image hard drives. This version only runs if you have a WD drive installed or connected to your PC, but still a nice perk. The free version is somewhat crippled, but does all the important stuff.

Easy to install and rock steady. I did not need SSD speeds for this backup/storage option. Great for backing up my over 300,000 photographs.
