I purchased this item as I needed room on my computer, it was better than I expected. It has plenty of storage and I am very happy.

I use it to store videos of old movies and depending on the collective size and length of said movies, it can hold approximately 400-500 movies.

Definitely need it for all of the large files for my projects. Im glad i paid a little extra for more space instead of having so many external hard drives around.

WD are my standard go to for backup drives. This 5TB working as expected and will be useful as I digitize old videos.

Great external hard drive! It continues to work with my Asus Tuf Gaming laptop as expected; still download games on to it!

As a collector of music and video, these are my lifeblood of digital collecting. I have never had one break. WD are the best for PC in my opinion. This is just another one to back up the back up, but I know they will be reliable for years to come. My first external from WD is from 2007. Still works great.

I wanted a portable drive for local storage of my files. Cloud storage is fine but I like the redundancy that this drive provides.

This is an easy one: bigger is always better! Although the average person may never fill an entire 20TB hard drive, if you find a WD external drive with a larger storage capacity that’s within in your budget, go for it.

I always choose WD over other brand because of its reliability and low heat emission. This one is no exception. I purchased this drive for a backup of my other 4 TB drive, and copied about 3.5 TB right after I got this one. It took several hours, and the drive became warm, but not too hot to touch.

I really found it very easy to use first in moving files from my old pc to my new one and using it for my back up drive as well. Very happy in the external drive.
