The WD My Passport Drive proved to be an excellent purchase. The drive works perfectly. I replace my drive on a regular basis according to the warranty periods. I will continue to use WD as my go-to source for portable drives.

If you are looking for an external hard disk with security, this is it. You don't have to worry about your files as they will be secured and to add, it's 5TB. So you will have a lot of storage space for this. WD never fail me on my storage needs.

Bought this for my ps4 since my storage was already full and it was a hassle to try and download updates or new games. Haven't had a single problem with this and will probably buy another once this one is full. A great investment for sure!

A great external drive used with my MacBook Pro Max M1. I use this for keeping my Final Cut Pro backups. A great way to manage space on my MacBook to keep it free for optimum performance and use.

Purchased this when it was on sale for $100. It works incredibly fast and so far is very reliable. I have a lot of videos stored on it and they pull up fast compared to other portables that I have used. I definitely recommend buying it.

I got this 5TB Passport to replace a smaller and totally full 3TB Passport and despite some of the negative reviews - it and the newer backup software work perfectly! To test I backed up my desktop to the new 5TB Passport using both the old backup software (WD Backup) AND the newer software (Acronis True Image) to compare functionality (backup time, types of backups, etc.,.) and Acronis is faster and more flexible! What's not to like?!

The best HDD of ever, fast, small, easy to move and isn't too expensive. I sent to Cuba, to my mommy, and she is really happy with it.

I have been using this as a backup for my Macbook pro. I have had no problems. I use it to store video and audio files with no problems to date. Recommend for back up of your files if the cloud is not an option.

It's easy to set up and does auto-backup without any blips. Plus, being solid state, accessing it is fast. I have lots of photos, and I access them a lot, so this really is nice.

We have an Xbox one. And we're happy with it, but it is the 500 Mb version and my son had to constantly unload games to play new ones. This 5Tb external hard drive is compact and connected seamlessly to the Xbox. Love it! Great buy!

this product was recommended by my tech support on moving very large files from 1 computer to another...... what a breeze... check the prices on the various models. I went with the largest and was happy i did.

Bought specifically for family photo and video projects. Used to download video copies, then edit, complete and share on ICloud. Therefore, having precious family memories on the icloud and safely kept on the My Passort 8TB Hard Drive.

Excellent drive. Using it as an external ext4 drive on a Linux NAS. Good price and website showed the drive location in my nearest store. I'm in and out in 5 minutes and same amount of time to install when I got home.

Originally purchased for my PS4 cause of COD files so large I could not play other games. Unfortunately when I put other games on it such a Horizon ZeroDawn games would play then controls would not work for walking or running. I then reformatted it for my Xbox One and have had no issues with game storage or play.
