This model comes with encryption software which was the main factor in buying it. It was also on sale and made the decision even easier. I have been using Western Digital for many years and have been satisfied overall.

So far really good product! I was only a little concerned when I was setting up the product for the first time, it got stuck for over an hour installing at 18%. I had to force eject and start the installation of the drive over again, but after that no issues!

I love WD external drives. This is my 6th drive and was upgrading size. I like the drive and access speed. I just wish they would switch over to a SATA cable or USB c on some options.

This Passport 5TB External Hard Drive is fast, quiet, and integrates quickly with my PC. I have used WD hard drives for many years and have yet to experience a failure.

Great for backing up for files. The install was easy but you must read the instructions. It's quiet when it's on. Most of external hard drives are WD. So I already knew what to expect

Great for backing up stuff. I would not use this drive for video editing. Will work to store footage just not to edit with. To slow of a drive!

This is a nice external Hard Disk. It has good writing speed and reading speed. The only downside is its connector is unique, we may need this connector more generic.

Great for a movie library! Only issue is the not a standard USB Jack on the unit!

I use it for my Xbox, load times are a little slow but i was expecting that. Other than that it is a very good card, serves its purpose of storing my older and/or smaller games.

WD makes good drives. This one is a nice size and form factor.

Good product.....But the installation is not easy. Was told ANYONE could install easily didn't need any computer knowledge to install....Not true Do yourself a favor and just have Best Buy Techs install but $100.00 0n each computer is a bit excessive IF it's so easy to do.

Great backup device for everything! I wanted this to backup my old pc and uploaded everything to my new one!

I bought this external hard drive to save my work as a back up in case my computer gets damaged. It has a ton of memory space
