This is a very good hard drive. I always prefer this brand to others. I rarely have any issues with them.

So much faster than my previous 1 TB and 2 TB external hard drive of the same brand and model.

This is my second HD from WD, I really like them to be realliable and that they add a security feature. A long time ago I got my backpack stolen and I wish I had security features in that brand.

Much faster than my many other external portable hard drives. Loads without delay and reads/writes almost as fast as the built-in hard drive on my computer. Much better than the old WD books.

I've owned many WD drives in the past and they've yet to fail on me. Time will tell if this continues to keep going strong for it's entire warranty period, but so far it's working great.

Needed to back up a lot of files and pictures. Great on file transfer speed. Only problem has been to "eject" ext. drive. Keeps saying in use, can't eject. I've just unplugged it and it has been fine. I still have over 4 TB remaining so will have plenty of room for the future.

How much is added to the hard drive at each download is unclear to me. So it's hard to discern if the device is really working.

Much quicker than the standard Passport drive I was using. Averages about 60-100MBs when transferring files.

Works as expected. Very fast transfer rates on USB 3.0 port. It was on sale for around $100.

My external hard drive is exactly what we wanted to backup our pictures and files to a portable storage unit.

The problem is probably my lack of technical knowledge but aI'm having trouble getting this hard drive set up as a back-up drive. I had no trouble with the Seagate drive I have been using but this is a different story. I'm planning a visit with the Geek squad to ge it sorted out.

I dropped it, and it doesnt work anymore. Oops! It works pretty.good if you dont dorp it.

It was just what I needed! My old external was dropped and I was in panic mode. Thankfully, BB had some in stock. I can always count on Best Buy to have the products that I need!

A good drive. Not the fanciest, but a very good value. I have used it to backup several clients computers while upgrading them. It also gets used to transfer larger files and folders.

Bought this to use as an external drive for my Ps4. It works great and it downloads surprisingly fast. Well at least faster than the Ps4... Set up was a breeze. Good product and I would buy again

This drive was bought to back up some large video files from a SSD hard drive. I knew it’d be slow-going, so I had no issues waiting for the files to transfer. Good price to pay for peace of mind.

I use it connected to my Synology NAS USB port to move security camera recordings weekly for storage. It works great and stays cool. Draws power via USB thus no need for a power cable.

It’s a awesome product with great speed. I love this product and recommend for external storage.
