Bought it to increase the memory on my laptop but could not download the program bc there was not enough memory on the laptop. T ime for a new laptop.

If you plan on using this for any kind of sharing or use outside of stationary personal use, check a different brand for Mac because this isn’t worth the stress and time it took to finally get it operational.

I can't even use it because it is making me download a program on my computer to run it, then it has made me download two other separate programs for whatever reason. Even after going through all of these ridiculous steps, it still isn't letting me put anything on the hard drive. I have never had this issue before, and I have never had to download anything before other than the WD discovery app, If I buy an external hard drive, I want to be able to easily save things to it without having to go through a million steps, and this is not that. I wish I was within the return timeframe because I'd like to get my money back, but I'm just going to throw away this piece of junk since it doesn't work.
