||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Will not work with TV usb since the format is not correct, if you change the format to mbr then you only get 2tb from it. Most TV's need the hard drive formatted to mbr to work. I do have it hooked to an android box and I can use it formatted to GBR and get the full 5tb. Still a good hard drive for WD.

Searching for files saved to it would always be a time-consuming, frustrating, hit-or-miss experience. Well before the one-year mark, it suddenly became dismounted and irreparable. I had to spend $$$ to purchase an app that is now slowly trying to recover the files I've saved to it over the past year.

I had to return this one I think because it wasn’t allowing me to do a back up but I still recommend these. It’s worth having multiple back ups.

One failed completely, and I had to send it off to a forensic recovery specialist to retrieve files. Two others that I already had have since started to fail on me as well. Would NOT recommend these for any files that you don't want to lose access to. I have since switched to the Samsung T7 EHDs and they have proven much, MUCH more reliable.

Once thebrog ally release i set everything up plugged in thebdrive and got this clicking. Ran windows repair. Itvseemed to stop and finally find the drive. That lasted 10 seconds as it was lost again and clicked. Western Digital was great as the RMAed the device only note in waiting for the replacement as you have to send yours out before they send one back...
