I had to buy a different one that’s made for MacBook. There is a way to get it to connect and I tried to download all the things that it told me to, but I still wasn’t able to maybe somebody who is able to spend the time to do it could do it, but I just didn’t want to deal and I just bought one that’s made for my MacBook instead.

Please be informed that WD My Passport External drive comes preformatted in NTFS format for Windows OS, However, In order to use the drive for macOS you can reformat the drive to APFS file system compatible on Mac by using this link: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/8200/ Please be informed that reformatting is a data destructive process, please backup the data from the drive before reformatting it. I've been using them for years, and they just keep getting better as technology develops. Each time I purchase a new one, they're small with more storage capacity. Ya gotta love it :) And I love that Best Buy carries them. I use Best Buy for all my tech needs!

I don't think I ever bought the same item multiples times. That should tell you How satisfied I am about this Portable Drive. A must if you want to save your "Memories".
