Great external hard drive for the price. Easy to carry for travel.

This little gem did the trick. It's slim profile requires extra attention so you don't lose it. I found the performance to be outstanding and the encryption feature never hurts. Best Buy had a great sale and I was able to get it at a great deal. You should replace your bulky shoe box with this deck of cards.

So far so good after using for about 1+ months. The device was an easy plug in and connect to the windows 7 backup for storing my files (don’t like using File History).

It's just a reliable storage device. I store all of my game captures and videos on it. I haven't had any issues with WD hard drives in the past and this is no different. You can also use it for backups too or whatever you want really.

So I was in the market for a new hard drive. Now a days, seems like I need a new 5tb every month. I had to grab this one up while I saw it on sale. I have other WD hard drives, and none of them have failed me yet (knock on wood). Very satisfied with my purchase, does exactly what I need it to do. Which is to hold and store my videos that I do for different clients.

I specifically bought this USB drive for my xbox and have to say that this does the job really well. This drive is not only cheaper than the ones specifically designed for Xbox, but has a much better read/write, not to mention much cheaper and more space.

I am a Hardware/Software Engineer and this HHD is more than I expected. Light weight, Travels neatly. I would recommend it to anyone traveling or gamers. at 5 T storage it is great.

Light portable hard drive, easy use and storage, good price.

The WD - My Passport 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is one of my wisest purchases yet. It is easy to setup and use. The external drive enables me to backup enormous quantities of files on my other devices by simply dragging and dropping. Further, it eliminates the need for fistfuls of USB thumb drives. This device is an excellent value!

This is my first external hard drive and I really love it. All of my important documents and work from school are safely stored away. The process to get it connected and read the instructions is really simple, and you decide what is stored in it without everything being backed up every time.

The My Passport WD 5 TB External USB 3.0 portable hard drive was purchased from Best Buy with an additional 2-year warranty. I purchase the additional Best Buy warranty for drives for peace of mind. However, this is my second WD 5TB external "My Passport" hard drive. I have found the first one so reliable that I've dedicated it as my transfer drive between my PCs and new Apple Mac Mini. I reformatted the drive from NTFS to exFAT so it is readable by both MAC computers and PCs. This new drive was reformatted into Apple's APFS platform so information on it can be backed up using Apple's Time Machine software. I store my 1 TB Lightroom catalog of 25,000 images on it because it is so reliable. This is a great drive that is reliable.

After losing data on competitor's External hard drives, I have several Western Digital's for personal and work use. The unit is mac/pc compatible, and easy to partition as I prepare to transition to a newest Imac. Portable sized, with ample space for various files yet reasonably priced. This model Passport is a good value and good product!
