Best hard drives on the market!! Been using Western Digital for at least 15 years, only brand I would buy!

Acting up.....I will continue to give them 5-stars since they seem to just work! I've never had an issue with these exact memory units. I've had my 1tb harddrive for about 2yrs now and it still works with no issues. I use these to store my YouTube videos. So for what I use it for, it's perfect!

Great product. Easy to install software for Mac and Windows. Great price too!

Definitely a good purchase. Worked perfect, very fast file transfer. My Passport is a great addition to my tech arsenal.

It works well ant it works fast. Instructions are poor and directs you a software that does not work. The device is plug a play so it’s usable.

The product is fine, but I'm disappointed because I asked the customer service person on the phone for a drive pre-formatted for Apple. It was not and it was not an uneventful process to get it formatted correctly. So my disappointment is with Best Buy for the unnecessary time and aggravation, not with the product itself.

Love this external hard drive. I take a lot of pictures with my camera and I like to back them up on this, love the added security features it has.

I got this for my PlayStation 5 and it is a must have since Sony only put a very little bit of storage on the console.

It seems great from the start! Although after a couple uses the cord wasn't working and it kept saying it's missing a drive.

So far so good! No issues at all~ love the look and how fast it is! Does what its supposed to do.

I was saving my previous files before resetting my laptop system.

I have owned many external drives and currently have 4 Toshiba 4 TB drives. I purchased this WD 5 TB drive on a whim because BB had it on sale. I have used it as a backup drive for the last 17 months. It stopped working on 5/27/25 and now when you plug it in the system doesn't recognize the drive at all. Tried different cabling and wanted to format it but none of my computers recognize it. Thought about exercising the 3 year warranty but they are only going to replace the drive and at this point I will stick with my Toshiba's that the oldest is already 6 YO. I don't trust WD products, had a bad experience many years ago and obviously nothing has changed.

Western digital comes through again by keeping up the pace and issuing a 5 TB portable external hard drive. My experience with western digital drives has been flawless. Expect nothing less from this purchase. Only drawback is Bin size. Always want more.

I used this drive with a project called Volumio to play my music library and it's a super fast USB drive running on a Raspberry PI4. I recommend it as a backup device also.
