I was running out of space on my old portable drive. This one has a whopping 5 terabytes and should last me a long time.

Nice drive. I found this on sale. 5TB for the price of 4. Small enough to toss in my backpack for travel.

I bought 2 of these to start. One for my son and one for myself. He has autism and likes ro access all his videos on his laptop. He loaded his fist one with movies and lost everything. The warranty covers the drive but not data retrieval. I ended up purchasing a 3rd as back up incase his failed again so I would have his 1000 videos saved if anything went wrong again. It took weeks for the warranty replacement to arrive and he was anxious without it so i had to go out and buy a 4th drive. (Over $400 into drives now) i dont know if he is bumping them around too much or what the couse is for failer. The 2nd and 3rd drive have now gone bad. Going to try a differnt brand and type after this mess. My backup drive is still working but it sets in a safe and is never jostled around till needed. Still waiting for replacement on the second drive and reply on the 3rd. Warranty honors replacement but one cant keep losing data. Wanted to give 2 star but gave an extra for customer service.

Pro Tip, if you’re on a Mac, go to disk utilities and format the drive so you can bypass the WD software. Works like a charm.

just bought gamepass and definately needed extra harddrive room 5tbs did the job. Bought it 11 days ago no complaints so far

Works great with the Xbox One X as additional storage. Bought one each for the kids to keep games separate.

Large capacity and works great. Wish everyone standardizes on one connect interface and avoid carrying different type of cables.

This drive was much smaller than expected but it was a surprise! Easy to connect and able to place easily In the back.

Backup functions with passport make transfers easier. I was able to use with no problem to backup our family photos and other data I wanted as an offline backup / repository.

I purchased this device to store photos from my PC's, laptops, and iPads. The transfer was successful from two laptops, but an older laptop and computer did not recognize the device. The transfers I was able to complete were quick and easy, but still trying to figure out a way to get it to work with the other computers. From reading some of the other reviews, I can only hope that the WD-My Passport will not malfunction and that all photos will be preserved and always accessible.

Great portable hard drive and was able to pick up in a pinch. This bad boy will hold all the content I need.

Good value for the money. I took one star off for the housing. It's very smooth which means it's easy to slip out of your hands, plus there are no rubber "feet" which would stabilize it when placed on a desk. Also, why wasn't a storage case included? All other WD portable drives I have purchased prior to this one included a storage case....
