Lots of storage for a great price. Easy to set up and use. Perfect size to throw in laptop bag or backpack.

I’ve always preferred Western Digital when shopping for external or internal memory. The quality of the product for the price is unmatched. Easy to setup and use, even for those that are not very familiar with hard drives. I also have a couple of SSD drives from Western Digital that work great too, just with much less memory. The 5 TB’s should provide more than enough memory for the average user and yet even packed with all that memory it is still easy to transport and use with other devices. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this hard drive to copy files over as my older 2TB WD drive was getting full (after several years). I use the drives to store pictures mainly as I am an amateur photographer. Transferring files was a breeze. The drive is portable and the best feature is it's USB powered so no additional power cable.

I've bought several of these over the years and have always found them reliable, plug and play, easy to store, and good value of memory for the money.

I've never owned one these before, but I bought this because friend recommended it. So far it has done exactly what it's meant to do. I put all my programs, videos and large files on here (many gigabyte) and there is still waaaay too much space on here and it's so compact. When I seen it from unpacking it, it was very small from what I had pictured. My friend has had his for more than a decade and it works like new, or so he tells me. But this is the brand he recommended and we'll see in 10 years.

With the amount of info I store these days I find it easy to store and categorize my content and use on different computers with these little gems. I have 5 different units now and love em. I have given these out as presents and always got good remarks about them after they were used.

I had low expectations as nothing seems as good as it is advertised to be. I was mistaken. This little powerhouse of an external drive is amazing. It’s a little smaller length wise than my iPhone X but unbelievable in its performance. I got the 5 TB drive and I was able to completely free up tons of space from my laptop by placing almost everything on the drive. The lil WD Passport is compact, and works like a workhorse. Backups can be done daily or whenever you schedule them. Folks this one is a winner.

I do a lot of editing, so I need a vast amount of storage. This 5TB got the job done for my latest project. Plenty of extra room left over for the next edit down the road. My only complaint is that it does see a noticeable slowdown when half of its storage was used. However, since its not an SSD that's to be expected. For the price, definitely worth the buy.

This thing ended up being A MUCH BETTER BUY THAN ORIGINALLY THOUGHT! It was the EASIEST thing to install and setup, just plug in and format!!! Now I have tons of games in my off-line library, AND IT ACTUALLY MADE MY PSVR WORK FOR FIRST TIME! Ive had PSVR for 2-3yra now but it never worked because my PlayStation 4 is a first generation and is full of memory so VR would always crash during initial set up now it made it through set up in is absolutely incredible I wish I had got this sooner!?

I have about a half-dozen WD Passport drives that I use to back-up my collection of laptops. These drives are very high quality - I have not had a single failure for any of my WD external drives. They are fast enough to do what I use them for - mostly as offline storage, backups, etc. - and I always feel confident that the files are safe. My oldest WD Passport must be over 20 years old and still going. Simply outstanding quality.

Once I was able to get this synced to my computer, the operation has been flawless. The download, depending on the platform the consumer uses, and the accompanying instructions are not too intuitive (for understanding), and required a phone call for support. However, the support was tremendously helpful.

Great for use as an backup your system or to store pictures or inportant files that takes up space and you dont want to lose in case of a hard drive melt down.

I needed a larger drive to save old FB videos to because of their new retention policy. This drive provides the space I need and allowed me to download them quickly. Now I'll be able to archive the videos and will also upload them to the new YouTube page that we will be creating.

Perfect size for my cluttered desk with plenty of storage!

I purchased this because my last external drive malfunctioned and I could no longer access my files. I was able to restore a good majority of the files. I connected it to my macbook pro and formatted it to store files as well as be used for Time Machine. So far, so good. If you don't know about formatting, you might want to go ahead and get an external drive that is pre-formatted for macs to save you the extra steps.
