the drive is fine, but your customer service is "0" unless you pay extra for support. I will not buy from your store again.

These WD drives were DOA Brand new and clicking.. ignorant people who don’t know much about computers or who use a drive to move stuff onto it then put it away wouldn’t realize for ages that they had a dud right out of the shop Returned them

I hated this thing. I seldom use the word. I read the review and understood some of the issues were possibly user issues. I purchased, plugged it in and it did not work. My computer recognized it but it would not show up in the folders. It was the correct plug, plugged in right. I could not add anything to it. Something like this should be easy to use, It always been (my Seagate products at least). I went with that brand.

Junk drive, waiting for replacement from WD. The thing sloweD to a snail pace and makes strange noises.

Completely stopped working after 5 weeks. The computer has stopped recognizing it. It runs for a second then beeps a few times and shuts off.

Garbage product. Less than a month in and it stopped working. Starting taking forever to load items and was impossible to transfer things on and off of it.

Looking forward to using this. It was on sale for a good price.

Item stopped working the next day after I purchased it. It just stop reading on my laptop. This isn’t the first time it’s happened to me either

I currently have a desktop computer that serves as our primary computer for the family in the office. The WD 4TB Passport is great for backing up photos, documents, etc. I am currently using it to take weekly backups of my photos and home videos from an internal drive, and also backing up my SSD that is my primary drive. It gives me peace of mind to have this backed up regularly. This drive is portable in the sense that you can easily detach it and plug it into another laptop, desktop, etc. It's small enough to fit in a laptop bag or a pocket for that matter, and the fact that it does not require an external power source is great. That being said, I don't think I'd normally carry this thing around in a bag or put it in situations where it could be bumped, etc. It's a mechanical drive and these things can get damaged. It's also backed with a 3Yr warranty which is important and gives me the peace of mind that it should last.

Spent a couple of hours trying to download photos. Kept getting error message. Called Western Digital and after an hour doing tests at their direction, WD informed me that the WB was corrupted. This required another 2 hour drive back to Best Buy to return.

Didnt work upon opening i updated drivers. I tried everything

I have owned this thing for 4 months used it nearly every day for work and 1 week ago it started having read/write issues and today it decided to become an overpriced paperweight.

The instructions on this was not very clear and if you’re not tech savvy, this thing will irritate your soul. I tried to get it to work and it didn’t find out how to use it. By the time I wanted to return it, it was too late. It was a disappointment to say the least.

Transferred all my photos to this drive and a week later it failed lost a years worth of photos. Bought a 2nd one and that one failed also, No more Western Digital.

I had this hard drive for 2 weeks minimum and it corrupted and files are not recoverable.

Garbage device. Doesn't back up in original format. Only backs up files in TIBX format so you have to use WD software to access your files.

Doesn’t work for all macs, sadly I finally used it after 30 days and it’s a paper weight. Maybe I should just stick to Amazon for future purchases.

Bad experience. Waisted my 30 days geek squad on top of it lie about calling me and not finishing my work. Not going to refer anyone for geek squad

Died last week. Just bought it on July 12. Lost everything. $950 to get information back (if even possible).

One minor bump and the drive was unreadable after less than a month of use. Would recommend another option if the drive will be mobile at all.
