I still prefer editing on a smaller SSD, but this drive is quick enough to edit off of if needed. Transfer speeds aren’t great compared to SSD, but that is my only gripe.

My wifes computer had been operating different lately and was concerned that it may crash. Wanted to be sure all her data was backed up and ready to load on a new computer if necessary.

When I went to use it for my back up for my Mac it had to be erased. It has been giving me some error messages ever since and at times my Mac doesn’t want to recognize it. The device is built well and transfer rate is fast when it is working. I have other devices like this that have worked great. I’m not sure if this is just a fluke.

I have not done the initial back up yet, as it is likely to take a while. Could probably do it as a background task, but would rather not. It would be helpful if the unit came with actual user manual.

Ran out of space on the 2TB unit and upgraded to this one. Plug it in, copy files to it and done. It has a much faster transfer rate than I expected, so that was a plus.
