OK, could be easier to use.

Have not yet figured out how to retrieve just the data files I want to work with, appears it is best for backing up data for a total restore, rather than files I might want to work with on a regular basis - but this could be just me not figuring it out yet.

Worked fine until it didn't
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I got this my intent was to use it to supplement the insufficient internal storage in my MacBook Pro. Aside from frustrations when attempting to run certain programs from the external drive (which is a limitation of the OS, not the drive), the drive worked pretty well at first. I had it for maybe 6 months and noticed first that it started slowing down and just generally being unreliable. After about 2 weeks of that, one day it just decided to quit and it hasn't worked since. I'm pretty sure I lost a good bit of data that I hadn't backed up, but fortunately I did back up some of it so it's not a total loss. The moral of this story is: don't use an external drive as a crutch to make up for a lack of internal storage, and secondly, this drive is perhaps not one of the most reliable drives out there. 6 months seems like an awfully short lifespan for a hard drive.

slow..but good value...I guess
