I've had a Mac since 1985. I can't believe the number of files I've lost in the interim. No more. This portable hard drive sets up easy, works with Time Machine, and truly is portable when you need everything with you on the go.

I just plugged it in and my mac did all of the work for me. Super easy and LOTS of storage space!

I was looking for a hard Drive to replace my old one and couldn't find to replace until I came in to bestbuy in a random day and was on sale and I couldn't pass up on a deal and best portable hard Drive you can get for the macbook compatible

This drive worked perfectly with my MacBook , it's a great product I would recommend to others.

The best thing about this is that their are NO moving parts ... so it will not were out with time. it has an enormous space for what I am using it for and as soon as I can figure out how to partition it I will use it to store other files.

I love that this device will automatically delete the oldest backup when it gets full.... I do not have to go back and figure out what to delete. The storage is large enough to have several back up on the device to keep all data safe and secure.

Ever since I lost my data due to a dead HD I have always put a backup on my computers. The WD My Passport does everything it is supposed to due without breaking the bank. Don't regret putting off getting one to save a few bucks. Get one and use it.

I needed to purchase an external hard drive for my Macbook and I came upon this as a discounted item for that day. So far, I didn't encounter any problems nor difficulties while using this external storage. It works as intended.

I needed to back up my Macbook Pro and chose this to do it. I was able to easily move my pictures to the storage drive. I haven't tried going the opposite direction and moving pictures from the storage drive back to my mac. So far, I like it.

The Best Buy employee was very helpful in directing me to the right product for my application. I was already familiar with the Western Digital quality but was happy that it was already formatted for plug & play in my Apple Mac Mini.

I can only comment on its looks, as it was a gift. My niece liked it, looked solid, but didn’t get to turn it on. But for the price, I think it is a good deal.

Small, light, portable external HD & 1TB is Awesome

This is a handy little item to carry with you as back-up for your computer. I have traveled with this small but efficient device all over the world. It hardly takes up any space and it weighs practically nothing. I say.....get it!

My Passport is great to back up files to an extended hard drive and is easy to use to update back up weekly or monthly. No hassle. There are specific MyPassport for Windows or Mac so be sure to get the correct MyPassport for your computer.

I've always trusted WD hard drives above the rest. They have never let me down. Purchased this one for my sisters mac back up, worked great. Have the pc equivalent working with my Xbox one. Great speeds, loads quick. Would recommend.
