The external hard drive works fine, is well made and has not caused me any problems. I am very satisfied with this product.

It was a good purchase. I wish it came with a case though. or else its small and easy to carry and fast.

This was a little tricky to use with my mac. I had to call customer service for help. Overall, it is efficient.

Learned the hard way how important it is to back up data. After reinstalling the operating system on my MacBook, I decided to start using Time Machine for back-ups and purchased this drive. Fairly straightforward; there are options for both Mac and PC formatted WD. My only complaint was I was supposed to have been offered a free shutterflly book, and by the time I realized this, the "return" period was over and they would/could not give it to me.

Easy to install and to use. This is my second or third of this item over the years. Very reliable.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with this product. I didn't open it immediately after purchase and when I did try it out, two weeks have already passed, so it was too late to return. I have spent literally hours with apple support to try to make it work, and at the end the gave up and told me to call the manufacturer. After spending more than an hour with their technical support, they managed to back up my files, but the subsequent backups didn't work. I told them since I bought a new product only a month ago, and it didn't work from the beginning, I would like a replacement. They said that they never replace with a new unused product and that they can only offer me an old refurbished drive. I refused it since I don't want to backup my important files on someones else's used drive. That's why I paid full price. I now have to buy a new external drive again. Please look elsewhere for an external drive!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

I've bought WD's Passport drives before, and even though this one is an updated version, I've never had any problems with them. They work for years (in my experience) and are almost idiot-proof.

It's a portable hard drive. Not much to say. It stores data - haven't had any issues with it

Gives you approximately 1TB of drive space. The only drawback, it's powered by the USB port.

The "My Passport for Mac 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black" is a great value. Worked out-of-the-box with my older Macbook Pro. Great for as a source drive for film editing or Time Machine back-ups. Highly recommended.

Was simple to transfer documents to file. Price was affordable for the amount saved.

I needed no more than the 1 tb size and while the 2, 3, or 4 tb give you more storage for the price, I loved the form size (the newer sharp edged half smooth/half ridged). I have enjoyed WD products and this should hold up well.

Easy install, works well with Mac and time machine. Saves a ton of icloud storage.
