the price was right for what I was looking for in storage

I do not know much about external storage and a best buy member was gratis in helping me choose. this product was known to me and for the price and quantity of storage, suits me just fine.

Just what I needed to free up some space on my MacBook.

After losing all my data with a back-up drive that didn't work, I was advised to get this one. It continues to save data daily, and this gives me peace of mind.

Have to have updated OS, but it works great. Heavy duty makes you feel like your data is secure against any armed robber! Ha! But seriously, this is a great product.

I had trouble getting the Passport for Mac 1TB to automatically backup. I contacted the Geek Squad which provided no help. I contacted WD (the maker) and they said that it wasn't their problem - contact Apple. Apple was able able to correctly walk me through reformatting and now it works like it is supposed to.

It is just what we needed, to speed up our computers

I haven't had enough time to use it very much, but it's working well for me so far. It says below would I recommend this to a friend. I bought one for me and my wife.

I needed to purchase this item to back up information because my co Outer broke and I had to bring It in to get fixed .. ps Best Buy geek squad WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR REPAIRS!

Needed a external drive to backup my iMac. This worked great. Great peace of mind in case of serious virus or hard drive failure. Don't want to lose pictures, videos and music.

I purchased this drive to back up my older mac laptop. So far it has been doing its job. The data transfers fast and efficient. I will always buy WD drives.

I'm not savvy in regard to storage specifications, but I think this accessory does the job. However, for some reason - I think faster hard drives are available...

Initial connectivity and setup was effortless. Plug it in, open the drive, click the icon and you're off to the races. And then Mac OS Sierra showed up and this effectively became a very poor paperweight on my desk. I checked the Samsung website for support and scoured the web to pretty much find out that Samsung was not providing any support for the upgrade, rendering my purchase worthless. After scouring the internet for some other options, I was able to find a thread where someone had downloaded the software for the T3, I was able to download, install and resume use of my SSD drive. So this gets 3 stars for Samsung not providing adequate support. The drive itself is great though and I'd rate it higher if I hadn't lost a few hours trying to get something that was previously working just fine to work again as expected.
