This external hard drive is easy to carry around in my backpack along with other books and notebooks. doesn't take up much space and is light. easy for on the go

Easy to set-up. Works well with Time Machine. Would recommend this drive for Mac users

I have always preferred Western Digital external hard drives. I have a WD my cloud and another portable one as well. All work great and this one is no exception. I gave it to my mom and she is using it with Time Machine with no issues. It is great because she isn't the most tech savvy and all she has to do is just plug it in and it does the back up itself. I definitely recommend this product!

I've been through my fair share of external hard drives and WD will always be my top choice. I have 4 now and they all work great without any issues.

My wife's MacBook had no extra space so I went to BESTBUY to find storage. They tried to talk me into the Time Capsule but I explained I already had the Airport Extreme. So, this was the best alternative. Just plug it in and back it up. It has worked great and plus it is 2TB of space. If you have the Airport Extreme and need storage, this works perfectly.

I use this drive for my Time Machine Backups on my new Quad Core i7 iMac. I love the speed of USB3. The price was very reasonable, especially since it was on sale. WD has been around forever and I have many many years of experience using WD drives both here at home and when I was a Senior IT Tech at work (Before I retired). I'm sure it will outlast my computer.

Works great! No problems. I tried an external hard drive that was not made for a Mac. This one obviously works a lot better. Great purchase!

I bought this a few weeks ago and I plugged it in and waited for the back up to start but it didn't automatically start. I had to go fishing around to find out how to make this work, but once I did that it has been great.

This prodict is well made. It is compact; great for travel.It is easy to use. I used it to back up mu computer. Got everything.

Easy to use and big space frees up room on my comouter

I bought this because the salesman at Best Buy said it would be easy to set up and I would not have any problem with my El Capitan iMac. I had nothing but problems trying to install it and contacted WD support first by e-mail. They did answer my e-mail but I could not understand what they wanted me to do. I kept getting error messages.They said they would call me after 6 but did not call until after 8:30 which was late for me. When I was able to talk to them I could not get it to work so they took over my computer to install it. Because I was trying to transfer my old My Book back up they told me that it would take a long time to transfer the information and I ended the session. I ended up with the same error message and a new error message after the transfer and installation. I was told to let them know if it worked. I did e-mail them with the new error messages but it took them some time before I heard from them again. I finally have gotten rid of the error messages and I hope it is working. They did offer to talk to me again on the phone but I did not feel like waiting several hours after they say they will call.

USB 3.0 is much faster than my old hard drive.....but it should be. The included automatic backup software is not very good, so I dspabled it. I use Microsoft's (Windows 10) or do it manually and it works just fine.

This hard drive is very handy to backup my computer and provide mobile use in my travels.. It was quite reasonably priced.
