I got this passport to back up my computer. I was very happy that all I had to do was plug it in and it was ready to go. I didn't have to do anything else.

Just what we needed. With home schooling and limited access to her teacher my daughter records most of her online classes so she can replay and study them because she feels like she doesn’t fully concentrate on the class because she is taking notes. This takes up a lot of space.

I HAVE PURCHASED THESE BEFORE AND THEY PREFORMED BEAUTIFULLY, THOSE I USUALLY PURCHASE A BACKUP PLAN, SO WHEN THEY DO FAIL I AM COVERED. BEST BUYS HANDLED IT GRACEFULLY, WHEN THE ITEM CAME IN THE WRONG BOX, I TOK IT TOO THE STORE AND THEY MADE SURE I WAS HAPPY. GOOD JOB!

A very nice back up storage device for my photographs. Another one I purchased that was a different brand, crashed. I had bought the the Best Buy protection program and was able to bring that one back, and for a little more money purchased this one. Very happy so far.

I love this passport. User friendly and great for storage. Photography is my hobby. Tons of space for my photos.

Reasonably speedy, has USB-A cable with a USB C adapter and it comes formatted for Mac HFS+. WD has a free download to enable Windows 10 to be able to read from and write to an HFS+ drive (WD drives only- Paragon will sell you the full version if you like it). My experience is that they are not drop dead reliable, so have a second backup drive for really important files and replace it at 3 years.

I am so glad I made this purchase. It has saved my MacBook from being so congested. I love that it plugs straight into my MacBook, it’s lightweight, it’s plug & play nothing complicated.

Easy to use. Attached it to my IMac to use as a Time Machine. Have to use a password for this each time I restart my computer. Only thing… bought this one because it was for Mac. My Mac erased it right off the bat, to reformat it to be used, so the Mac stuff preloaded does not exist.

I love the my WD! I can't believe I got through 10 years on my Mac without it. Makes all the difference and It has backups of my old Mac and my new one!

Let us face it, MacBook computers, specially the new ones, have always being short on HD space, unless you are willing to pay some few extra hundreds. so having this wonderful external drive with the right connector(USB-C) makes it the right way to go. Inexpensive and high quality.

I had purchased for a Backup Drive for chunk of data that needed off from HD. It's been reliable so far. Speed could be better, but understandable.
