I configured it to my usage because I wanted to use it both as a MacBook Time Machine and a PC/Mac storage drive but it works well.

Use is good for Apple TM back up.

USe it for time machine back ups on Mac OS Monterey. It is slow for the first go round but then works great on the schedule.Reformat and erase first! I don't use any WD software that comes with it.
