A very easy way to backup my MacBook Pro data

I had not done it so I went to Best Buy where the sales clerk suggested My Passport for Mac 2TB would serve my needs. I found My Passport to be very easy to use. Fortunately none of my data was lost with the repairs but I now have my data saved and am able to update data in the future easily.
