    I have recently bought several ssd storage drives for photo and music (mostly). The Samsung drives have been superb. The WD-My Passport drive failed repeatedly after several GBs of material being transferred. None of the transfer attempts exceeeded 100 gbs but all failed and would not complete a routine manual back-up job. I have a Samsung Portable SSD T5 500GB and a T5 1TB. Both have worked flawlessly since the first use.

    Not as fast as I expected and the worst of all is that you cannot use it unless you agree to share your data and info with the manufacturer. It gives you the option to share or not to share, nevertheless if you decide not to share, you cannot have access to the disc, it asks you to try again later and later and so on. It is until you accept to share your private info that you can use it.
